What is outpatient surgery?

Outpatient surgery refers to "same day" surgery. The patient enters the surgical facility in the morning, has a procedure performed, and following a short recovery period, returns home on the same day.

What are the advantages of outpatient surgery at CTMC?

We provide personalized care in private rooms before and following the patients' procedures. Outpatient surgery allows the patient to return to the comfort of his or her home on the same day of their procedure.  In addition to providing services for our outpatients, we also prepare our patients who may be admitted overnight for surgical procedures.
