Medical Imaging
At CTMC, we believe in efficient and affordable health care. A key element of that ideal comes from fast and accurate diagnostics. Our diagnostics staff is comprised of highly trained professionals eager to identify your specific needs. Once a diagnosis has been made, the journey to recovery continues with your physician as your guide.
Our medical imaging department maintains state-of-the-art imaging equipment and continually looks ahead at new, innovative technology to keep pace with community needs. Available to outpatients, as well as inpatients, there is no need to travel out of town.
Among the equipment in the imaging department is a 1.5 Tesla MRI with the most recent imaging software; Multi-slice CT scanner; dual head nuclear medicine system; DEXA bone densitometer; 2 state-of-the-art ultrasound systems; and 2 mammography machines. In addition, two mobile radiographic systems are available so emergent patients do not have to be transported. Imaging also offers PET/CT services.
Our imaging equipment is used for viewing head and body structures, allowing for early detection of possible disorders and, in many cases, avoiding costly and discomforting exploratory surgery. Board certified radiologists interpret all images, provide short result turnaround time, and consult with referring medical staff, aiding in diagnosis and treatment.
