April 16 - HealthCheck phone and online registration ends
April 22 – HealthCheck health fair at Embassy Suites from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
      Walk-in registration and blood draws available (must be fasting for at least 8 hours)

Fees for HealthCheck

• Basic screening $35 – Includes complete metabolic panel (screening for glucose and renal and liver disorders); lipid panel (cholesterol with HDL/LDL breakdown, triglycerides); and complete blood cell count (white, hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelets).

• Additional tests are $15 each.  You must participate in the basic $35 screening to register for the additional tests.
Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) - The PSA is available to any man at least 50 years of age, African-American men at least 40 years of age, or any man at least 40 years of age with a family history of prostate disease. 
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) - The TSH test is available to anyone. The TSH blood test is used to determine whether or not the thyroid gland is working properly.
Carotid Artery Screening - available at HealthCheck health fair April 22nd.  Limited number of screenings.  You must register for this screening early (beginning on February 22nd).  This ultrasound exam is recommended for people with the following risk factors: smoking, diabetes, over the age of 40, with a history of high blood pressure/high cholesterol, or a family history of heart disease, stroke/aneurysm, or arterial disease.  This screening is not available for the following population: those with a personal history of carotid artery stenosis or those who have previously had carotid artery surgery such as an endarterectomy or angioplasty.
