Central Texas Medical Center is pleased to announce an offering of three $1,000 scholarships to deserving regional high school seniors.
The scholarships may be used for costs of attending a university, college, community college or vocational/trade school. Proof of enrollment and a tuition statement must be submitted in order to receive the scholarship. The scholarship awards are based on financial need, community involvement, academic achievement, work/club experience and essay writing skills.
Application forms are available on-line at www.ctmc.org. The form is posted under ‘About Us.’ Interested students must send or deliver their completed forms to the CTMC PR & Marketing Department, located at 1301 Wonder World Drive in San Marcos, by March 31, 2009. Applications must be delivered or postmarked on or before Tuesday, March 31, 2009.
CTMC has a long history of supporting its community. In 1990, CTMC awarded the first high school scholarship of $250 to a single recipient. Today, the scholarship amount has been increased and three students are selected to meet the needs of rising tuition costs and to further invest in the youth of the community.
