CTMC Volunteers to Host Fundraiser

6/12/2009

Central Texas Medical Center’s Auxiliary “Masquerade Fundraiser” will be held on June 26 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Main Classroom.  CTMC is encouraging the community to purchase any of the several items such as jewelry, purses, scarves and watches.  Many or most of these items will be on sale for $5 each.

All proceeds from the Auxiliary Fundraisers and the CTMC Gift Shop go into a fund for the Auxiliary.  The Auxiliary then chooses items at the end of each year to purchase for the hospital from a list of needed items.

“We are so grateful for our volunteers and the time they spend helping our patients as well as our staff,” said Debbie Cox, Administrative Director of Human Resources.  “They are a true blessing to everyone at CTMC.  The money they raise allows us to purchase items the hospital is unable to budget for.”

The CTMC auxiliary is made up of approximately 90 volunteers, 35 junior volunteers and 40 hospice volunteers.  The auxiliary has been serving the hospital and its guests for nearly 50 years.
