Central Texas Medical Center Warns Area Residents of Phone Scam
SAN MARCOS, TX – Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) has been advised of a phone scam in Central Texas with the caller claiming to be with CTMC. The caller mentions a prize can be won, if the person on the phone calls a different number and agrees to pay a small fee.
CTMC is not in any way associated with these calls. If you receive one of these calls, do not offer any financial or personal information or call another number to given to you. It is a scam.
“Given the economic challenges so many are facing today, we’d hate to have anyone think that they are helping to support our healthcare ministry when in fact they are being mislead and taken advantage of,” said Clay DeStefano, CTMC Administrative Director of PR and Marketing.
