SAN MARCOS, TX – Each year, Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) honors employees who reach important service milestones. On March 29, 110 staff members were recognized at a dinner and awards ceremony held at Embassy Suites. CTMC was proud to  acknowledge forty staff members who reached 5 years of service, 23 who reached 10 years, 7 who reached 15 years and 7 who reached 20 years. Eight employees celebrated more than 30 years of employment. Lucy Leal was recognized for more than 50 years of service.  CTMC CEO Sam Huenergardt hosted the event, and classical guitarist Cesar Gomez provided entertainment.

“CTMC congratulates the employees who achieved service milestones, and we strive to maintain a positive work environment that supports long-term employment,” Debbie Cox, CTMC administrative director of human resources, said.

About CTMC

The hospital, which originated in 1923 as Hays County Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Memorial Hospital, was restructured in 1960. The present facility was opened at its current Wonder World Drive location in 1983. The CTMC staff of more than 700 employees works with more than 220 active and consulting physicians to provide quality services to patients and their families. In addition, over 200 community members and interns from area educational institutions volunteer their services to the hospital.
