CTMC Unites Community To Feed The Preservation Of History
SAN MARCOS, TX – See a glimpse of small town Americana feeding the souls of its community on Friday, May 6 as Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) hosts the Cottage Kitchen luncheon at the Charles S. Cock House Museum at 400 W. Hopkins Street. The $7 lunch will feature chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, dessert and a beverage. All proceeds benefit the Heritage Association of San Marcos.
Cottage Kitchen started more than 30 years ago with a group of friends serving their favorite family recipes inside the beautiful and historic, stone house, which is listed on the National Register. Profits from the luncheons are used for the beautification and restoration of the museum, park grounds and river walk.
“Cottage Kitchen provides local businesses and organizations the opportunity to have an active role in preserving the precious heritage of our great city,” said Clay DeStefano, CTMC Administrative Director, PR & Marketing. “For many years, CTMC has been proud to partner in helping to fund the important initiatives of the Heritage Association.
