CTMC Weight Loss Opportunity Changing Lives
SAN MARCOS, TX – 175 pounds lost by 25 participants during the first Weight Watchers series in 2011. 185 pounds and counting during the current series. Dozens of participants have shed pounds during the Weight Watchers series offered by Central Texas Medical Center’s (CTMC) Institute for Healthy Living and Weight Watchers. A new 14-week Weight Watchers series will begin on Tuesday, June 7 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the CTMC Community Classroom. An open house will be held for anyone wanting to know more about the series on Tuesday, May 31 at 12:00 p.m. in the CTMC Community Classroom.
Weight Watchers meetings begin with private weigh-ins that help participants stay on track with their weight loss goal. Each week, leaders discuss a specific topic such as stress-eating or family meal ideas. Members are encouraged to share strategies that have worked for them.
“My sister had success in Weight Watchers, so I decided to give it a try,” said Stephen Horn, Weight Watchers participant. “I’m really happy I did. I’ve lost 43 pounds and counting! And what’s so great about Weight Watchers is how easy it is to stay on program. I feel better, I look better and my doctor is very happy. Thank you Weight Watchers, you’ve made a friend for life!”
