Deadline Approaching For CTMC Women's Council Grant
SAN MARCOS, TX – The new Women’s Council of the Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Foundation is seeking applicants for funding to benefit organizations and programs which focus on critical issues including poverty, violence and improving access to healthcare and education for women and children. Organizations that would like to be considered for a grant need to submit an application on or before March 15, 2011.
The Women’s Council, which was established in 2010, is a new philanthropic committee of the CTMC Foundation. Its mission is to encourage women to strengthen and invest in our community by promoting programs and services that benefit women and children. Now 58 women strong, the group is committed to empowering women to serve both as donors and decision makers. The Council has already quadrupled its ranks since the Founders first gathered in late April 2009.
“The Women’s Council is focused on making a difference in the lives of women and children in Hays County,” said Clay DeStefano, CTMC Foundation Executive Director. “The grant opportunities are just one of the many ways we hope to impact our community.”
Applications for a CTMC Foundation Women’s Council Grant must be completed and sent electronically to the CTMC Foundation office at CTMFoundation@ahss.org on or before the deadline, March 15, 2011. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Applications can be found on our website, www.ctmc.org.
