Dr. Stephen Richardson joins Live Oak Health Partners Community Clinic
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS
– The Live Oak Health Partners (LOHP) Community Clinic is pleased to welcome Stephen Richardson, MD, a family doctor and obstetrician.
Dr. Richardson has experience with routine medical visits, well adult/well child exams, prenatal care, pregnancy, childbirth, post-partum care, monitoring chronic illnesses such as diabetes and high blood pressure, pediatric visits, Texas Health Steps exams and sexually transmitted infection screening and treatment.
He was raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University with a major in molecular and cell biology. He went on to obtain his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, and completed a residency in family medicine and a fellowship in maternal child health at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
Dr. Richardson and his family enjoy living in the San Marcos community. He is passionate about medical mission work and has traveled abroad to help people in places like Africa, China and Central America. He is also civic-minded and has been recognized for his community service.

The LOHP Community Clinic is located in the Hays County Personal health Department building in San Marcos. It provides a wide range of health and education services for the residents of Hays County and offers a sliding scale to patients without health insurance. In addition, the LOHP Community Clinic accepts Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Sheild Medicaid, and Blue Cross Blue Sheild CHIP Perinate.
