CTMC PRESENTS “COZY CROCK POT CREATIONS”
HEALTHY COOKING DEMONSTRATION
SAN MARCOS, TX – The winter months can be busy with holiday preparations, leaving little time for preparing a healthy meal. Central Texas Medical Center’s (CTMC) Institute for Healthy Living is offering, “Cozy Crock Pot Creations,” a free healthy cooking demonstration on Wednesday, December 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the CTMC Community Classroom.
The cooking demonstration will be lead by CTMC’s Dietary and Nutrition Team and will focus on healthy meals that can be easily prepared using a crock pot. The program includes unique recipes along with samples and handouts of the recipes.
"We all crave a good, warm meal during the cold, winter months,” said Alicia Westfall, RD, LD, CTMC Food and Nutrition Services Manager. “Our Dietary and Nutrition Team has wonderful ideas to make a quick crock pot meal while maintaining a healthy lifestyle."
