Learn more about CREATION Health lifestyle at FREE upcoming seminars
SAN MARCOS, TX – First Baptist Church, located at 325 W. McCarty Lane in San Marcos, will offer seven free CREATION Health seminars each Wednesday beginning on April 3 and concluding on May 15. The presentations will run from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m., and Pastor Mark Newton will provide an in-depth look into the eight CREATION Health guiding principles.

CREATION Health is a faith-based health and wellness lifestyle based on biblical principles. The proven results of this lifestyle on wellness and longevity are extraordinary. Adventist Health System (AHS), the parent company of Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC), has embraced the CREATION Health guidelines for its employee and community wellness initiatives.

The CREATION Health acronym stands for:

Choice
Choice is the first step toward improved health because people who believe they are in control over their own lives are healthier and live longer.

Rest
Rest is good sleep and also taking time to relax. Relaxation lowers blood pressure and reduces stress.

Environment
Environment is our external world but also affects what happens within us for the better or worst.

Activity
Activity includes physical and mental conditioning. Our goal is to be active in mind, body and spirit.

Trust
Trust in God speaks to the relationship between spirituality and healing. A link exists between faith and wellness.

Interpersonal Relationships
Interpersonal relationships strengthen our wellbeing. Social connection fortifies our resolve and improves our health.

Outlook
Outlook creates our reality. Our mind influences our body and our attitude impacts our health.

Nutrition
Nutrition is the fuel that drives the whole system. Small improvements and strategic substitutions produce profound results.
