Live Oak Health Partners welcomes Dr. Brent Sanderlin
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS
– Brent Sanderlin, DO, recently joined the Live Oak Health Partners (LOHP) primary care team.
Dr. Sanderlin is a native Texan and received his bachelor’s degree from Texas State University in San Marcos. He received his medical training at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Following graduation, he served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for more than 9 years, completing an internship and residency at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida. He also completed Naval flight surgeon training and served a tour with the Marines, both as a squadron flight surgeon and then as an air group surgeon. He served as the senior medical officer at the Naval Air Station in Fort Worth. At the end of his military service, he joined the clinical faculty at the UNT Health Science Center.
Dr. Sanderlin is board certified in family medicine by both the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians He has experience with travel medicine, aviation medicine, minor skin procedures, management of most chronic diseases, annual physicals, preventive care and in-house blood draws. He is married with three adult children and enjoys the outdoors, gardening and amateur radio.
