Tickets now on sale for the 8th Annual Hats Off For Hospice Fundraiser

Help dreams come true by attending the 8th annual Hats Off For Hospice fundraiser on Sunday, April 15 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Gregg Clarke Park in Kyle.

“Hats Off For Hospice is a family BBQ event that raises money for CTMC Hospice Care's Dream A Dream Program,” said Lisa Adams, public relations coordinator for CTMC Hospice Care. “The Dream A Dream Program grants a last wish to our patients and their families, so that their last desire in life can be fulfilled.  We recently fulfilled a patient’s wish to fly in a hot air balloon.”

This year’s music entertainment features Turnpike Troubadours. Bossier City, the band's debut album, has been a testament to the small towns in which they were raised. Their follow up album, Diamonds and Gasoline combines Folk, Country, Cajun, and Bluegrass with stories of longing, humor, tragedy, and general life in rural America.

Food is sponsored by our friends at Black’s BBQ. There will be one-of-a-kind door prizes. Children can enjoy fun activities such as hayrides, moonwalks, face-painting, the Kiddie Express Train and more.

Attendees will be able to bid on the live auction. Items include autographed and framed jerseys signed by Tim Duncan, Emmitt Smith, Tim Tebow, and Superbowl XLVI Champion MVP Eli Manning and acoustic guitars signed by George Strait and Alan Jackson. There will be a silent auction including autographed cowboy hats by Kevin Fowler, Jack Ingram, Joe Nichols, Eli Young Band and more. Other items include jewelry donated by Abercrombie Gems & Precious Metals; His and Her cowboy boots, golf packages, Two 3-day 2012 ACL Music Festival tickets, bed and breakfast stays and western hats.

Tickets are on sale to win a 4-night, 5-day family trip for six to Ruidoso, New Mexico. Winner does not need to be present at the event to win. Whether you like to ski or golf, horseback ride or shop, there is something for everyone in Ruidoso all year round. Tickets are $25 each or three for $50.

Hats Off For Hospice will provide companies the opportunity to share information about their services. The $200 ($150 for non-profit) Lasso Sponsorship includes 4 tickets to the event and allows a business or individual to decorate a 6’ table displaying information about their company. (Selling is not allowed).

Tickets are now available for purchase by contacting CTMC Hospice Care at 512-754-6159.  Tickets cost $40 for one ticket, $75 for two tickets and $10 for children between ages 6 - 17. Children 5 and under are free. A reserved table may be purchased at $300 for 8 guests. Other sponsorships are available and can be viewed on the website.
