Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) is proud to be an Official Sponsor of Texas State Athletics. Both institutions have a long history in San Marcos and continue to grow alongside our community.
Founded in 1923 as Hays County Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Memorial Hospital, the CTMC of today is a 170-bed hospital the features state-of-the-art technologies including two da Vinci robotic surgery suites and some of the most advanced cardiac technology available. We’re Joint Commission Certified, a Primary Stroke Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, and the ONLY hospital on the I-35 corridor to receive the prestigious “A” safety score by the Leapfrog group two consecutive times. In short, CTMC is one of the most highly regarded facilities in the region.
The bottom line is this: whether you’re a student, parent, faculty or staff, you can be sure that you or your loved one will receive the highest quality of care possible at CTMC.
Some of the services that we’re proud to offer our Bobcat patients include:
Primary and Specialty Care Physicians: Within our physician group, Live Oak Health Partners, patients can find Primary Care, OBGYN services, Orthopedics, Allergy Specialists and more. We have offices in San Marcos, Wimberley, Lockhart and Kyle.
Walk-In Clinic: Live Oak also manages a standalone Walk-In clinic located on the frontage road of I-35 just north of Wonder World Dr. With one of the lowest co-pays available, we are able to see minor injuries, provide flu shots, immunizations and other non-urgent needs.
Emergency/Trauma Services: unlike the standalone “emergency rooms,” our board-certified physicians have 24/7 access to on-site lab and radiology services. Our ER is equipped with 20 beds, 5 trauma rooms, 5 minor care beds, 8 treatment rooms and a family-friendly waiting area.
Women's Health: Live Oak Women’s Care provides our female patients a full-service practice and services. Our physicians are board certified and trained in da Vinci robotic surgery techniques.
Surgical Services: CTMC features two da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery suites which makes our facility one of the most advanced surgery sites in the region.
Medical Imaging: From our multi-slice CT scanner to our dual head nuclear medicine system; DEXA bone densitometer; 3 ultrasound systems and 2 mammography systems, CTMC is equipped to provide any kind of medical imaging you might require. In the Fall of 2016, we will introduce the largest bore, quietest MRI machine available.
Lab Services: Our full-service, clinical laboratory is staffed with certified medical technologists, phlebotomists and technicians who perform tests to aid your physician with a diagnosis.
Rehabilitation Institute: Our Rehab team’s goal is to return our physical therapy patients to their normal function as quickly and safely as possible through the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. We also offer a unique, comprehensive set of specialty therapies such as lymphedema management, pediatric occupational/speech therapy, pelvic floor rehabilitation and more.
