Learn what to expect during your childbirth and how you and your partner can get ready.
You should attend class after your 28th week of pregnancy.
The following topics will be covered:
- Your pregnant body
- Stages of labor
- Support person's role
- Comfort and coping skills (breathing, water therapy, movement in labor and birth ball)
- Medical intervention
- Medications in labor
- Cesarean section
- Your newborn
- Cradle of Care
The registration is valid for two people, mommy-to-be and one other person.
Please bring two pillows and be sure to dress comfortably. Healthy snacks will be available and a light lunch will be served.
This is a one day class that meets on Saturday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM in the Community Classroom.
The class is offered in Spanish by request.
Note: If you are delivering at Central Texas Medical Center, your fee will be waived.
