The Women's Council of CTMC is a diverse group of women committed to making philanthropy accessible in Hays County by empowering women as both donors and decision makers.
All women can be philanthropists, engaging in giving, leadership and decision-making. Women share a common focus on critical issues including combating poverty and violence and improving access to healthcare and education. Women infuse long-term financial investments into innovative and effective solutions to age-old problems and their shared vision of achieving long-term, sustainable social change. The Women's Council is affiliated with the CTMC Foundation in focusing on local, worthy causes selected by our members. The concept is simple. Combined annual donations from members are pooled to support non-profit health programs and services for women and children who reside in Hays County. Members are required to be female and to donate $250 each year. Level of engagement is determined by members. One-hundred percent of each member's donation goes to support women and children. Fifty percent of the annual donations will fund programs and services for Central Texas Medical Center's Women's Center. Fifty percent will be distributed through a granting process where each member has an equal voice in choosing recipients of grants.
