Community Volunteer Liz Tuttle to speak at 5th annual CTMC Women's Council Dinner
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS
– Liz Tuttle, a well-known community volunteer who, along with her family, has been involved in a number of philanthropic events and activities in the area, will speak at the 5th Annual Women’s Council Dinner on Sept. 4. The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hill Country Event Center, located at 107 Centerpoint Road in San Marcos.
Established in 2010, the Women’s Council is a unique fundraising committee of the Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Foundation that utilizes member dues to fund its efforts rather than traditional events and activities. Each year, the Council gives half of its impact grants to the CTMC Women’s Center and awards the other half to other non-profits serving women and children in Hays County. To date, the Council has provided $66,000 in funding.
“It is an honor to have Liz Tuttle speak at our 5th annual Women’s Council Dinner,” said Jerilyn Miller, CTMC Foundation Manager. “She is an inspiring example of how giving can make a real impact in the local community.”
The Women’s Council has grown to 70 members since the founders first gathered, but the group would like to see more area women get involved.
Those interested in attending should RSVP by August 25 to Jerilyn.email@example.com. For more information about joining the Women’s Council, please call the CTMC Foundation office directly at 512-753-3687.
