CTMC DEDICATED VETERANS-ONLY PARKING WITH VETERANS DAY CEREMONY
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS—As part of a special Veterans Day ceremony, Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) dedicated two veterans-only parking spots. This small token of appreciation will allow our veterans and their families closer, easier access to our facility.
“Our veterans answered the call to ensure the amazing freedoms we have in the United States,” said CTMC CEO/President Anthony Stahl. “It is our honor to be able to serve them each day at CTMC, and to be able to show our gratitude with these new parking spaces.”
The ceremony included the Presentation of the Flag and Folding of the Flag by Air Force junior ROTC. During the Folding of the Flag, CTMC Chief Financial Officer Stephanie Nelson and Chief Nursing Officer Catherine Amitrano read the names of over 80 CTMC team members that have served in the United States Armed Forces. The ceremony concluded with CTMC Chaplain Nahum Melendez leading a prayer for our veterans, their families and all those serving our country.
CTMC is proud to be a VA Community Care Hospital. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs provides care to veterans through community providers when VA cannot provide the care needed. Community care is based on specific eligibility requirements, availability of VA care and the needs and circumstances of individual veterans.
