CTMC Stars of Texas Gala Silent Auction To Feature Luxury Items
SAN MARCOS, TX – Picture yourself sitting at the 2011 NBA All Star Game, spending the weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek, Colorado or owning a Gucci bag. These are just a few of the items the Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Foundation has available for bid during the 18th annual Stars of Texas Gala slated to take place on Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Spa and Conference Center in San Marcos.
This year’s silent auction features more than 100 unique items. Gala attendees can bid on two tickets to see The Nutcracker by Ballet Austin, his or hers Michael Kors watches, a one night stay to The Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, an autographed Taylor Swift framed photo, an Amazon Kindle, two tickets to see the Spurs versus Lakers and a wine and cheese pairing for 8. Anyone wishing to bid on these and other auction items must be present at Gala.
“There is something for men, women and people of all ages in this year’s silent auction,” said Jerilyn Miller, CTMC Foundation Coordinator. “From sporting events, autographed photos and spa treatments; our auction items offer a unique variety.”
In addition to the silent auction, an opportunity drawing will also be held during the Gala. Prizes include a $1,700 Salvatore Ferragamo handbag, a $1,000 Premier Outlets gift card and a $500 Tanger Outlets gift card. Tickets can be purchased through the CTMC Foundation for $10 each or 3 for $25.
Grammy award-winning country music hit-maker Steve Wariner will be the featured entertainer. Tickets for the Gala are still available. Gala proceeds will benefit the development of a Certified Chest Pain Center, scheduled to open in CTMC’s ER in early 2011.
