SAN MARCOS, TEXAS
– Are you a non-profit in Hays County with a heart for serving or providing important services to women and children? Since its formation in 2010, the Women’s Council of the Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Foundation has funded 16 impact grants totaling $81,000 to several local non-profits that focus on meeting the needs of women and children in Hays County.
The Council again seeks grant applicants for 2016, which may be submitted through Monday, February 15 at 5 p.m. Grant applications can be found at www.ctmc.org/giving/womens-council
. Applications must be completed and sent electronically to the CTMC Foundation office at CTMFoundation@ahss.org on or before the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
“We are pleased to have another opportunity to help other local organizations and programs that make a difference for women and children in Hays County,” said CTMC Foundation Manager Jerilyn Miller. “We look forward to seeing how the grant opportunities will impact our community.”
Some of the initiatives the grants have funded include early intervention services to support youth and family in crisis, programs to assist developmentally disabled clients, self-sufficiency programs for families and adolescent girls, and mental health counseling services. The funds raised by the Women’s Council also support the CTMC Women’s Center.
The Women’s Council is a philanthropic committee of the CTMC Foundation. Its mission is to encourage women to strengthen and invest in our community by promoting programs and services that benefit women and children. The group is committed to empowering women to serve both as donors and decision makers.
