CTMC's growing 'Think Pink' events will raise funds, awareness for breast cancer
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS
– Thanks to the addition of more partners in its efforts to raise awareness and funding for the local fight against breast cancer, Central Texas Medical Center’s (CTMC) annual ‘pink’ activities have grown beyond the month of October. This year, activities will stretch from mid-September through early November.
In addition to the annual Mayors’ proclamation, the CTMC lantern will once again glow pink all month long as a beacon of hope for those suffering from breast cancer and their loved ones. In addition, several more activities will help raise funds for emergency aid to cancer patients in need who qualify for the assistance.
Since CTMC began observing and fundraising locally for breast cancer in 2008, the hospital has helped raise more than $80,000. ‘Pink Funding’ has helped provide transportation to patients for doctors’ appointments, pay rent and utility bills and make insurance payments.
CTMC and its 2014 Pink partners are pleased to bring the following breast cancer related events to our area: ALL MONTHCTMC Extended Mammogram hours
