SAN MARCOS, TEXAS
– Dads will play a bigger role in this year’s BabyFest event at Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC). The 5th annual BabyFest will take place on Sunday, July 27 from 1 to 4 p.m., and an obstacle course competition for dads provided by HH Fitness will run from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Prizes will include a $100 McCoys gift card, two tickets to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, a $50 Tanger Outlets gift card and a $25 gift card to Pluckers Wing Bar. Participants are urged to wear athletic clothing.
In addition, the CTMC Women’s Center is inviting all of its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) graduates and their families back for a special reunion. Since opening in 2009, more than 450 babies have graduated from the CTMC NICU, and those who return for the reunion event at BabyFest will be treated to a private mixer, family photos and a gift for the newborn-to-5-year-olds.
Whether you’re a new mom, expecting or simply considering pregnancy this year, BabyFest is a great way to become familiar with the latest in products and services for moms and babies.
BabyFest will also feature mini-tours of the Women’s Center and CTMC’s Honeysuckle Mommy Baby Boutique as well as healthy snacks, fun activities for dads and children, family photo shoots, great door prizes and more than 40 booths featuring products and services for new parents, moms-to-be and their babies.
Additional highlights of BabyFest include networking opportunities with area new moms and moms-to-be, baby boutiques, eco-friendly products, nutritional options for moms and babies, information on vaccinations and safety, representatives from obstetrics, pediatric physicians who practice at CTMC and more.
