You’ve probably heard about the importance of getting enough vitamin D. Among its many health benefits, high levels of vitamin D in the blood have been linked most recently to a lower risk of colon cancer and to fewer relapse attacks in people who have multiple sclerosis. Conversely, low levels of vitamin D in patients with childhood-onset multiple sclerosis led to higher risk for relapses.
