KVUE's Gale Returns to Emcee Annual Stars of Texas Gala
SAN MARCOS, TX – KVUE TV’s award-winning news anchor, Melissa Gale, returns for a second year to emcee the Central Texas Medical Center Foundation’s 18th annual Stars of Texas Gala set to take place on Sunday, October 10.
“I was so pleased to be a part of last year’s Gala not only because it helped fund the Women’s Center at CTMC, but also because it recognized the wonderful medical team you have here,” said Melissa Gale, KVUE news anchor. “I am proud to help a facility that is so responsive to the growing needs of this region, and so committed to improving the health of the community it serves.”
Prior to becoming a news anchor in Austin for KVUE’s Daybreak and Midday news segments, Gale was a producer and reporter in El Paso, Amarillo and Huntington, West Virginia.
When she isn’t anchoring, she enjoys traveling, reading, racquetball and listening to a wide variety of music. She also enjoys spending time with Clint, her husband of nine years, as well as her 19-year-old stepson, Colby, and her 4-year-old daughter, Payton Brianna.
The 18th annual Stars of Texas Gala will be held in San Marcos at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Spa and Conference Center. Planning is well underway for this locals’ favorite black tie soiree, which will again feature a gourmet meal and a silent auction with truly unique items. Gala proceeds will benefit the development of the new Certified Chest Pain Center, scheduled to open in CTMC’s ER in early 2011.
