New CTMC Women's Council Seeking Ways To Give Back To Hays County
SAN MARCOS, TX – The new Women’s Council of the Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Foundation is focused on helping the needs of women and children in Hays County. The Council will give back to our community in the form of grants to Hays County non-profit organizations that impact women and children.
Now 58 women strong, the Women’s Council is seeking applicants for funding for organizations and programs which focus on critical issues including poverty, violence and improving access to healthcare and education for women and children.
“We are pleased to have an opportunity to help other local organizations and programs that make a difference for women and children in Hays County,” said Clay DeStefano, Executive Director, CTMC Foundation. “We look forward to seeing how the grant opportunities will impact our community.”
The Women’s Council, established in 2010, is a new philanthropic committee of the CTMC Foundation. Its mission is to encourage women to strengthen and invest in our community by promoting programs and services that benefit women and children. The group is committed to empowering women to serve both as donors and decision makers. The Council has already quadrupled its ranks since the Founders first gathered in late April.
Applications for a CTMC Foundation Women’s Council Grant must be completed and sent electronically to the CTMC Foundation office at CTMFoundation@ahss.org on or before the deadline, March 15, 2011. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Applications can be found on our website, www.ctmc.org.
