SAN MARCOS, TX – Grammy award winning country music hit maker Steve Wariner will be the featured entertainer at Central Texas Medical Center Foundation’s 18th annual Stars of Texas Gala slated to take place
on Sunday, Oct. 10. The Indiana born singer and songwriter started performing at the age of 9, playing bass
and drums in his father’s small, country band.
Today, Wariner balances life as a husband, father and successful music artist known for several number one hits including, “Holes in the Floor of Heaven,” which garnered him three CMA awards, and other favorites such as “All Roads Lead To You” and “Some Fools Never Learn.”
“We are honored to have Mr. Wariner perform for our signature event of the year,” said Jerilyn Miller, CTMC Foundation Coordinator. “Our guests have the opportunity to see Wariner perform his popular award winning songs live while helping to raise awareness and funding for this important new service at CTMC.”
The 18th annual gala will be held in San Marcos at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Spa and Conference Center. Planning is well underway for this favorite black tie soiree, which will feature a gourmet meal and a silent auction with unique one of a kind items. Gala proceeds will benefit the development of a Certified Chest Pain Center, scheduled to open in CTMC’s ER in late 2010.
