Women's Council Hosts Spring Social

– The Women’s Council of the Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) Foundation is hosting a Spring Social on Thurs. March 8 from 5:30 – 7 at the Purgatory Creek Apartments Clubhouse. The casual, come-and-go reception is open to all area women and designed to provide an opportunity for current members and possible new members to get acquainted and learn more about the philanthropic efforts of the Council. Light refreshments will be served.

This year the Women’s Council will be awarding $20,000 in grants to qualified non-profits serving women and children in Hays County at their grants awards ceremony later this spring.  Five area non-profits submitted requests currently under review by the Council’s Grants Committee.

The Women’s Council was established in 2010 to encourage women to strengthen and invest in our community by promoting programs and services that positively impact women and children throughout Hays County. One-hundred-percent of each member’s donation goes to support the Community Impact Grants awarded annual by the Council.  The Council granted out $17,000 to local non-profits in its first year of operation.

For an annual donation of $250, any area woman can join the CTMC Women’s Council and provide meaningful opportunities for deserving women and children throughout Hays County. Stop by the Spring Social on March 9 or contact the CTMC Foundation office at 512-753-3687, for more information or to make a donation.
